The Blade CP from Eflite is a 300 size CP helicopter that i feel will allow most folks to learn how to fly a full function ccpm radio control helicopter with out breaking the bank account or waiting for days for parts if you have a local hobby shop handy.

Here is a link to what i believe to be the perfect learning tool. If you follow this system to the letter, It is possible to learn how to fly a radio control helicopter with little or no damage from crashes. I used this system to learn how to fly my blade cp. The result was 1 set of blades from start to being able to hold a steady hover through a complete battery pack. I do have many years of rc flying experience with planes. Whether this helped with the learning curve for heli's, I am not sure. But having a understanding of how the equipment and the heli was suppose to work definitely helped.

One of the biggest features of the Eflite Blade Cp is the low parts count and fairly inexpensive replacement parts. Although there is cheaper out there. Most Hobby Shops in North America carry these machines because they are imported by one of the major hobby shop suppliers, making parts available both offline as well as online.

Some soildering skills are required as tail motors wear out or tail booms are broken, these items need wires desoildered and resoildered to change them out.

Any of the small CP (collective pitch) helicopters are definitely a lot harder to learn on compared to larger more stable helicopters. The blade cp is no exception. The upside to learning with these small machines is as you move up to the larger more expensive machines, your flying skills will be much sharper and the larger machines will seem some what slow in movement and easy to handle.

The blade cp rc helicopter is not a blinged out 3d machine and although it says in the advertising that it is capable of all aspects of 3d flight. It takes a skilled pilot to coax these maneuvers from it.

If tinkering is in your blood there are lots of upgrades and changes that can be made to the blade cp to turn it into a 300 size hot rod.

The Blade Cp or its upgraded latest release is a good solid medium price range machine backed by a one of the large hobby suppliers assuring parts and warrenty service should not be a problem.

Find them at your local hobby store or Ebay, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shop online for RC Hobby Supplies.
